Comfortable Wirefree Bras for Plus Sizes and Full Bust

Image
Are you one of the many plus size or full bust women who wants a bra with no underwire? Wired bras are a bit of a mixed blessing. They're great for support, but they can also dig in to your arms, cut into your chest, and even leave marks.  Ouch! And, there are times, when you're bloated, that a wire just won't do. These are also a good option if you've had surgery and your skin is sensitive. Underwires can pop out of the bra if you are wearing the wrong band size or if the bra isn't washed correctly (do not put it in the dryer). Or, you might have a problem because the underwire isn't sitting flat against your body. Larger busted women can also have issues with underwires poking under the arms, even if they are wearing the right size.  It's even worse if you are both plus sized and petite. Many of the wires are just too long for you. And, if you wear a minimizer, that can cause discomfort because they are designed to push tissue to the sides, which can make ...

Cotton Bras to Get You Through Hot Summers

Cotton bras are not technically a fit issue, but finding one is a problem, especially if you have large breasts or are full-figured.  Most of the bras that are available are limited to smaller sizes or nursing bras.  It's extremely frustrating! This has been a particular gripe of mine for years.  I live in a place where summers are hot and sticky (we refer to the bad days as "3H" days: hazy, hot, and humid). Wearing a standard non-breathable bra under these conditions is torturous.   The new 3D and spacer bras do help (and are certainly better than their non-breathable cousins), but in my opinion, the very best option is cool, comfortable cotton. I've organized these by figure type, with options for larger women, bras with no underwire, front closure bras, and a few designed for women with sensitive skin.   I've also fit notes (of course).  Don't want to stray too far away from the primary focus of this blog! How to Help Lift Sagging Breasts with the Right Bra

Image
Let's face it, age and gravity, breastfeeding, or even your natural shape can mean that your breasts are not quite where you want them to be. This can also be an issue if you have a large, heavy bust. A bra can't prevent or reverse sagging breasts (you would need surgery for that), but it can help lift them and reduce the saggy appearance.  If you're sagging without a bra, these bras will give you more lift.  One thing though, if you sag even when you're wearing a bra, your band is loose, and the front of the bra pulls away from your chest, it may be time for a new one. High quality bras can last for years if they're rotated regularly (don't wear the same one every day or every other day, give them time to rest), but eventually even the best bra will start to stretch and lose its elasticity.  Once it does, it's no longer giving you the support you need, and you won't feel comfortable wearing it, as it will start to slide around on your body. If you want...
